    1. I understand the confusion related to the text at section 1.5 Hardness of the QTR, page 10 of 42, “No requirement”.
      Will explain.
On the front page (1 of 42) of the QTR, standards are mentioned for qualification:
      a. Qualified per product standard, EN2856 Rev: 2 Date: 01/09/2006
      b. Technical specification, ISO5858 Date: 01/11/1999
The qualification therefore takes place on the basis of these two standards.

The EN2856 does not specify a requirement with regard to hardness, so “No Requirement”.
So the text in the QTR is correct!

However the ISO5858 states in section 5.1.5: “The hardness of the finished nuts shall be within the limits specified in the definition document for the nut or in the material standard”.
The definition document EN2856 does not give a requirement, so the stated values in the QTR are based on the material standard.

Reading the text above I understand that there can be confusion if you have not attended the test.

That is why I have added the following text in this report under “Particular remarks”: The EN2856:2006 does not specify a requirement for the hardness of the finished nut (No requirement as mentioned in the QTR), so it is in accordance with point 5.1.5 of the ISO5858:1999 that the hardness specified in the related material standards, as stated in EN2856:2006 page 5, should be used. These requirements are 40 – 43 HRC (390 – 430 HV5), see page 10 of 42 of the QTR”.

The incorrect value entry of the fourth nut, “Base” (436HV5) has been checked and it turned out to be a typo. This has been fixed, making the QTR revision status now rev E.
