  1. EN2549-100:
Fatigue test: in QTS, why is it written “3 for EN2549”, For EN2549-100 see additional document for the fatigue results”?

    EN3037-050:
Dry film lubricant thickness sample size: as per EN2491, sample shall be carried out by using special level S-3, AQL 1,5, normal inspection.
Mfg batch size is 1777 parts.
Thus, we should have 8 parts to be tested instead of 3.
    Could you please clarify?
For information, sample size for EN2549-100 is correct (280 parts manufactured, same inspection plan, see ISO2859-1 called out by EN2491).
In addition, in QTP, sample size is as per ANSI ASQ H1331, AQL 1% and this is not the same sampling plan as EN2491. ASQ H1331 is an appropriate standard I agree. However, by using ASQ H1331, AQL 1% for coating, 42 parts shall be inspected. Maybe this sampling method is just for coating appearance!?

    EN3381-060:
Dry film lubricant thickness sample size: as per EN2491, sample shall be carried out by using special level S-3, AQL 1,5, normal inspection.
Mfg batch size is 375 parts.
Thus, we should have 8 parts to be tested instead of 3.

    EN3820-050:
Dry film lubricant thickness sample size: as per EN2491, sample shall be carried out by using special level S-3, AQL 1,5, normal inspection.
Mfg batch size is 916 parts.
Thus, we should have 8 parts to be tested instead of 5.

    EN4072-080:
Dimension report: EN3381 is called out for some dimensions instead of EN4072. This may be just a wrong copy/paste?

    EN4127-050:
Macro/micro examinations: some crevices are visible on crest threads. Did you measure their depths?

Furnace F25: in TUS report, this furnace is called “Four Trempe Revenu Huile”.
Since all these bolts are made out of titanium alloy, could you just please confirm that all these ones have been cold water quenched?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Julien

    1. General comment;
AHG recognizes that there is an issue about the coherency between ERP and CoC edition. In fact , the logical of the sampling mentionned in their CoC doesn’t reflect the one of ERP. The sampling logical between the manufacturing batch and the delivery batch must be also improved
An internal review shall be done to solve these issues

Q : EN2549-100: Fatigue test: in QTS, why is it written “3 for EN2549”, For EN2549-100 see additional document for the fatigue results”?

A: For a renewal we have to follow table 6 on EN 9152 . for a batch of 210 parts , table 6 gives 3 samples for destructive testing for a production batch < 500.
The results of fatigue testing are not visible on the Coc A 838047. AHG gave an additional document for these results which is included in the QTS field ( last file )

(For information, sample size for EN2549-100 is correct : 8 samples for 280 parts manufactured, (same inspection plan, see ISO2859-1 called out by EN2491).

      A: There is a mistake in the CoC A 848369 ( EN 3037-50)
For coating thickness, AHG has followed the sampling of ISO 2859-1 ( measurement before and after coating) as requested by the § 14.1 of PrEN2491. See extract of the ERP in additional document field , (manufacturing step named “ECOP”). Nevertheless , AHG has made a wrong interpretation of the table and applied a sampling of 13 instead of 8 .
For adhesion which is a destructive test. ( scratch test) 3 samples have been used instead of 8 as asked by the ISO 2859-1. ( or 5 following ISO 9152 table 6 ) . In fact , they have followed an internal specification TSS1127 part2 tab 1 as mentioned in the ERP extract ( see manufacturing step named “ADH”). Pr EN 2491 § 14.2 gives this opportunity as alternative to ISO 2859.
For appearance, AHG has applied ASQ H 1331 , see additional document with an extract of ERP ( manufacturing step “VIS” with a sampling of 42

      A : There is a mistake in the CoC A 843025 ( EN 3820-050 )
The original lot of the reference EN3820-050 is 404207 P031 F001 with a quantity of 916 pieces (the sampling is 34 for coating appearance « VIS »). See extract of the ERP in additional document field
The sub-lot that we delivered contains 149 pieces, that’s why the sampling is mentioned as 19 pieces instead of 34

Q : EN4072-080: Dimension report: EN3381 is called out for some dimensions instead of EN4072. This may be just a wrong copy/paste?

A: Wrong copy and past . Document updated . See additional document “appendix 2 EN 4072-080” in first article inspection report filed

Q: EN4127-050: Macro/micro examinations: some crevices are visible on crest threads. Did you measure their depths?

A: AHG has made the measurement and it is within the tolerance of Table 10

Q: Furnace F25: in TUS report, this furnace is called “Four Trempe Revenu Huile”. Since all these bolts are made out of titanium alloy, could you just please confirm that all these ones have been cold water quenched?

A: it is a mistake ( due to an other AHG audit in progress on steel …. ) Doc removed and replaced by a new TUS example for Titanium furnace.

  2. All is clear for me now.
Thank you Daniel and AHG’s team!
    Thus, approved from my side.
    Best regards.
    Julien
