I cannot locate the ‘validation’ that defines or links the material used to EN2171 req’t.
-The reference standard for these bars is EN4318.
The Reuseability tests (QTR paras 4.1 & 4.2- 12 & 5 cycle tests for each ring size) indicate the samples were uncoated. Please add explanation why silver plated products were tested in the uncoated condition.
-all tested parts are with silver plated.
An explanation is required why the 12 cycle reuseability test samples appear to exhibit hardness exceeding the Prod S’d (e.g 58-60HRC).
All the nuts are silver-coated during the tests in self-braking torque;
the control nut (inspection tools), which is not coated and the resistance class , which is of a hardness between 58-60 HRC.
Observations:
The test data was confusing to extract & a presentation based on the proposed QTS would improve the approval processing time invested into these parts.
