  1. On ASD-CERT website, EN/AS9100 certificate validity is expired (11/06/2019).

On FAIR, for all EN2874 part references, in column “Character. Designator”, it is written “minor” for all characteristics.
    How do we interpret “minor”?
If we consider ISO9154, table 3, dimensional characteristics have not the same category of defects.
Some dimensional characteristics are considered major with AQL = 1%, other dimensions are ranked as minor with AQL = 2,5% or 4%.
So, for acceptance, do we have sample size for dimensional inspections as per ISO9154, tables 3 and 4? On FAI, sampling was done as per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 general control level II and WI-SYS-30, but we do not have AQL applied.
ISO9154 sampling (tables 3 and 4) is based on ISO2859-1, table II-A, single sampling, normal inspection. ISO2859-1 and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 are really similar. From my point of view, this is the same way of sampling. Could you please confirm on your side?

On FPI report for EN2874-050, batch size is 137 bolts.
137 bolts were FPI inspected, which is in line with ISO9154, tables 3 and 4.

On FPI report for EN2874-060, batch size is 449 bolts.
449 bolts were FPI inspected. This sampling is stricter than ISO9154, tables 3 and 4, so it is better.

On FPI report for EN2874-080, batch size is 195 bolts.
195 bolts were FPI inspected, which is in line with ISO9154, tables 3 and 4.

On FPI report for EN2874-100, batch size is 237 bolts.
237 bolts were FPI inspected. This sampling is stricter than ISO9154, tables 3 and 4, so it is better.

For fatigue test on EN2874-050 bolts, could you please precise which loads and frequency were applied? As CoC Annex 4 states, max fatigue life cycle equal to 130000 cycles. It should be good to add this in QTR (maybe this is not written since none of tested bolts reaches 130000 cycles).
For double shear test on EN2874-050 bolts, these tests were stopped after applying approx. 36,2 kN load without carrying on tests until break, as stated in CoC annex 4, in line with ISO7961.
For tensile test at elevated temperature (page 8), could you please replace Double Shear by Tensile test at elevated temperature?

    EN2874-060:
QTR, Page 9, tensile test at ambient temperature: tensile test results and requirement mentioned are those for MJ8, not for MJ6. Could you please correct this? Good results are those in EN2874-060 CoC, Annex 4.
QTR, page 9, fatigue test results mentioned are wrong. Good results are those in EN2874-060 CoC, Annex 4.Could you please fix this?
QTR, page 10, tensile test at elevated temperature. Results and requirements are wrong and it is written “double shear”. Could you please fix this? Right values are in EN2874-060 CoC, Annex 4.
For fatigue test on EN2874-060 bolts, could you please precise which loads and frequency were applied?

    EN2874-080:
For fatigue test on EN2874-080 bolts, could you please precise which loads and frequency were applied?
For tensile test at elevated temperature (page 14), could you please replace Double Shear by Tensile test at elevated temperature?

On EN2874-050 macrographic cuts, we can see some crevices on the crests of thread. Could you please confirm that these laps are within the tolerances specified in ISO9154, table 9?

On EN2874-050 FAIR, MAX thread major diameter mentioned = 5,000 mm. As per EN2874, table 1, note 1: “In accordance with ISO 5855-2. except the thread major diameter “d max.” which shall be equal to D1 min. – 0,025.”
    So, max thread major diameter shall be equal to 5 – 0,022 – 0,025 = 4,953 mm.
Test results are compliant, but for future mfg batches, this shall be taken into account.

On EN2874-060 FAIR, MAX thread major diameter mentioned = 6,000 mm. As per EN2874, table 1, note 1: “In accordance with ISO 5855-2. except the thread major diameter “d max.” which shall be equal to D1 min. – 0,025.”
    So, max thread major diameter shall be equal to 6 – 0,022 – 0,025 = 5,953 mm.
Test results are compliant, but for future mfg batches, this shall be taken into account.

On EN2874-080 FAIR, MAX thread major diameter mentioned = 8,000 mm. As per EN2874, table 1, note 1: “In accordance with ISO 5855-2. except the thread major diameter “d max.” which shall be equal to D1 min. – 0,025.”
    So, max thread major diameter shall be equal to 8 – 0,028 – 0,025 = 7,947 mm.
Test results are compliant, but for future mfg batches, this shall be taken into account.

On EN2874-100 FAIR, MAX thread major diameter mentioned = 10,000 mm. As per EN2874, table 1, note 1: “In accordance with ISO 5855-2. except the thread major diameter “d max.” which shall be equal to D1 min. – 0,025.”
    So, max thread major diameter shall be equal to 10 – 0,028 – 0,025 = 9,947 mm.
Test results are compliant, but for future mfg batches, this shall be taken into account.

    Many thanks in advance,
