Conditions to qualify EN3375-004 cables under technical specification EN3375-001 (initial qualification):
• ASD-CERT Quality Manual states on page 35 that “Tests referenced for analogy must have been performed less than one year ago”, please provide ASD-CERT with evidence that all non-performed tests are less than a year ago at the time the audit was made by the auditor MBR. Qualification by analogy refers to tests done in 2003, 2006 and 2009 which is more than 1 year ago.
• No marking evidence as per EN3838 like a photo was shown in the audit report ACP-005 form2 or QTR. Please provide ASD-CERT with such an evidence for the marking on the cable. Also a photo of the marking after the test of resistance to fluids EN3475-411 should be provided to ASD-CERT to make sure it can still be read.
• EN9100 certificates have expired end of September 2018. Please provide ASD-CERT with evidence that they have been renewed.

Initial EN certification for WJ24 cable have been done in September 2006. You will find unclosed former certification. WJ24 Draka production is about 50 km per year without interruption.
Today and due to this anteriority, the Qualification 644 process is more to be considered as a renewal of certification confirming that the design and the design and the process has been robust for years.
The strict applicability of ASD quality manual appears as not reliant is this case : design and process have been stabilized for years and the representability of tests is valid much more than one year. We understood that the standards have not changed from 2006 up to now with the same PTFE material for the 4 tests claimed by analogy (surface resistance, resistance to fluids, smoke density and toxicity). Could you make a statement
that the manufacturer has not changed its manufacturing route since 2006?
The same materials are used since 2006 for this cable. Please find unclosed FAI report of 2006. Part numbers of materials are different but materials are similar with FAI of 2018. The process is the same : you will find unclosed the former manufacturing route.

Laser markability is checked by the contrast measurement (see results in FAI enclosed) . Photos are not clearly requested to in the test method, and Draka hasn’t kept the qualification samples. Please confirm the acceptance of these results. OK acceptable if the photo of the marking is not mentioned in the standard.

EN9100 renewal and ISO9001 certificate are attached to this message. OK updated certificates have been provided to ASD-CERT.
