  1. Minimum tensile load requirement (QTR, table2): could you just please replace 3.78 lbf by 3.780 lbf?

Permanent set test: in QTR, table 4, actual pitch diameter written are in mm whereas unit indicated in brackets is inch.
Hopefully, actual values are in line with ISO7481, table 5 (within the tolerances).

Self-locking torque test at ambient temperature:
    EN3152 requires a 15 cycle test.
In QTR, title of section 14.4 is “Twelve Cycle unloaded ambient temperature test:”. Why is it unloaded? Indeed, seating torque is 5,5 N.m. Thus, this test is carried out under load.
Why is it written “twelve cycles”?
Hopefully, we have results for 15 cycles! (QTR, table 5)
In addition, is it possible to add seating torque applied?

FPI reports: sorry, I cannot find sample sizes in these reports. Could you please add this data?
Hopefully, sample sizes are given in QTS!
    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Julien

  2. “Minimum tensile load requirement (QTR, table2): could you just please replace 3.78 lbf by 3.780 lbf? – agreed updated (typo)

Permanent set test: in QTR, table 4, actual pitch diameter written are in mm whereas unit indicated in brackets is inch. – agreed updated (typo- copied form other report)
Hopefully, actual values are in line with ISO7481, table 5 (within the tolerances). – mandrels in spec (mandrel requirements added)

Self-locking torque test at ambient temperature:
    EN3152 requires a 15 cycle test. – correct
In QTR, title of section 14.4 is “Twelve Cycle unloaded ambient temperature test:”. Why is it unloaded? Indeed, seating torque is 5,5 N.m. Thus, this test is carried out under load. – typo samples are loaded – report corrected
Why is it written “twelve cycles”? – typo – copied over from a nut that only requires 12 cycles – updated to 15 cycles
Hopefully, we have results for 15 cycles! (QTR, table 5) – the table is 15 cycles
In addition, is it possible to add seating torque applied? – seating torque added data added to para 14.4.1 (5.5Nm)

FPI reports: sorry, I cannot find any sample sizes in these reports. Could you please add this data? – all samples are checked via FPI – Report updated
Hopefully, sample sizes are given in QTS!” – QTS give a sample size for qualification – SPS check all samples

  3. All is clear for me now.
Thanks to Phil and SPS team.
    Approved from my side.
    Best regards,
    Julien
