1. Conditions for MCR qualification (ACP-008) of EN2883-050 nuts under ISO5858 technical specification :
   • Several operations are subcontracted in the manufacturing route. Not all of them indicates the name of the subcontractor (Copper Removal, Desoxydation). It is supposed to be Fluorotechnique but it needs to be confirmed on the manufacturing route. Please issue a manufacturing route indicating all the names of all the subcontractors with the appropriate and valid EN9100 and NADCAP certificates.
   • A typing error is found in the QTP paragraph (not the document). It should read “nut” instead of “bolt”. Please correct.
   • Why the QTP talks about Adhesion of Silver in paragraph 5.2.4.2 as this standard EN2883 does not call for a silver plating? Please clarify. This MCR should apply to EN2883 standard products. If it applies to other standard products, the corresponding ACP-008 MCR should be sent to ASD-CERT according to the Quality Manual.
   • The QTR which has been attached to this MCR qualification 1054 is referenced “8754” (dated 23/04/2020) while the QTR which has been attached to initial qualification 867 is referenced “8754A” (dated 03/12/2020). As this MCR 1054 refers to initial qualification 867, which QTR (8754 or 8754A) has to be taken into account? Please clarify.
   • Wrenching feature test. The tested double hexagon nut shown on the QTR photo does not seem to be an EN2883 nut which is a hexagon nut. Please clarify why the photo is not in accordance with the standard product to be qualified.
   • Non rotation of captive washer. Please provide a photo of the test with a mark on the washer and a mark on the bearing surface to show that the washer has not turned after the test was done.
   • Stress embrittlement test was not done on this nut, is it not applicable? Is Hardness less than 44 HRC after heat treatment? No explanation is shown on the report. Please provide ASD-CERT with justification.
   • Material as per TR3791. Only AMS 5525 for the washer is shown on the certificate of conformity. AMS 5731 for the nut has not been found. Please clarify that the material stated in the certificate of conformity for the nut is in conformance with TR3791.

      please find below the feedback to manage the conditions:
      • Several operations are subcontracted:
      => Due to the fact that these operations are not significant operations for the parts Howmet St-Cosme never indicates on the flow charts the name of the subcontractors that they have submitted to ASD/CERT since the fire in June 2019. Howmet St-Cosme has already performed more than 70 qualifications in these conditions.
      • QTP talks about Adhesion of Silver:
      => It was a typo in the QTP. Please see the QTP enclosed “QTP EN2883-050A – ACP008 121720”.
      • The QTR which has been attached to this MCR qualification 1054 is referenced “8754” (dated 23/04/2020) while the QTR which has been attached to initial qualification 867 is referenced “8754A” (dated 03/12/2020). As this MCR 1054 refers to initial qualification 867, which QTR (8754 or 8754A) has to be taken into account? Please clarify.
      => Agree the date of the ACP008 (QTR 8754) was issued in April 2020 . The QTR attached to the initial qualification 867 – ACP003 is QTR 8265 was issued in October 2017 which was updated to answer to the requests of the MBR and /or TC ( see QTR updated enclosed 8265B-5JRH80045-ISO5858.pdf).
      • Wrenching feature test. => Picture is just for information it is not the right part.
      • Non rotation of captive washer => See picture added in paragraph 6.3 of QTR 8265B enclosed
      • Stress embrittlement test
      => Hardness measured in QTR 8265B are included between 374-388 HV5 e.g. 38- 44 HRC after heat treatment so stress embrittlement is not required due to the fact that hardness is lower than 44 HRC.
      • Material as per TR3791.
      => In QTR 8265B you will find enclosed 2 COC :
      AT1375109 : raw material for the washer ( AMS 5525)
      80868 : raw material for the nut . The COC from Brow EUROPE refers to our internal specification SAM004 ( see document enclosed) which refers to AMS5731 or EN Standards listed in TR3791
