As mentioned in “particular remark” section, raw material is not in line with EN4318, since:
– Solution heat treatment temperature is 980°C instead of 900 +/- 10°C (EN4318).
– Hardness values are: 269/272 HBW wheareas requirement is from 277 to 363 HB (EN4318).
– Maximum lead content determined on material certificate is below 50 ppm whereas EN4318 requires 20 ppm maximum.
As mentioned in “particular remark” section, this material seems to be conform to AMS standards (AMS5732 I assume) on these aspects.
Anyway, strength class for this part is 900 MPa minimum whereas EN4318 specifies 960 MPa minimum UTS. This may explain why hardness is just a bit below.
Maybe, waiver for deviation GL/GO n°04800 mentioned in material certificate is bound to these 3 topics above.
Finally, tensile and creep tests are compliant.
