Conditions for initial qualification (ACP-003) of EN3431-030 nuts under ISO5858 technical specification :
• Several QMS and NADCAP certificates have expired, please update ASD-CERT with valid certificates.
• Please provide a valid EN9100 certificate for HFS Casablanca where a stamping and cutting operation is done according to the manufacturing route.
• Please provide photos showing the silver plating coating thickness as per EN2786.
• Squareness of bearing surface not applicable on nuts with captive washer. Where is it written in standard drawing or technical specification?

Please find below the answered conditions:
• Several QMS and NADCAP certificates have expired, please update ASD-CERT with valid certificates. => Done
– At the audit date, the certificates was valid 😉
– NDT Nadcap cert = The accreditation length for Howmet Fixations Simmonds SAS (Audit 188509) has changed and the new accreditation expiration date is April 30, 2021 – see enclosed
• Please provide a valid EN9100 certificate for HFS Casablanca where a stamping and cutting operation is done according to the manufacturing route. => Done
• Please provide photos showing the silver plating coating thickness as per EN2786.
Parts have been inspected with success during audit: silver plating is continuous, parts are continuously plated. Thickness measurements were compliant. During audit, micrographic analysis with laboratory showed uniform silver plated thickness measurements. Moreover, thickness measurements are compliant with EN2786, see QTR §2.3.
You can also see that measurements were compliant during inspection after silver plating operation on Robert Stuart CoC.
• Squareness of bearing surface not applicable on nuts with captive washer. Where is it written in standard drawing or technical specification?
As indicated by Howmet St-Cosme, the Squareness of bearing surface is not applicable on all type of nuts. In this case, it’s not applicable for Nuts with captive washer according to ISO5858.
