  1. In QTR, dimension report, dimension « V » is missing (cage holes).
For tensile test at 100% load, are we sure that related bolt is made of steel with 1100 MPa minimum strength class? For MJ10x1,25, minimum tensile load for this kind of bolt is 71,7 kN.
For this test, 7 nuts were tested at 71,6 kN and the last test was carried out up to 93428 N at break.
93428 N seems to be a really high value for a MJ10 bolt made of steel with 1100 MPa strength class.
In addition, we can notice that for both tensile tests at break (80% and 100%), load values are quite different: 74960 N (80% load test) and 93428 N (100% load test).
How can we explain that? (Maybe the same explanation as for qualification 804?)

In QTR, torque-out test was carried out by applying 30,4 N.m for MJ10.
The cage (basket) of this nut is made of steel. So, torque to be applied shall be 38 N.m instead of 30,4 N.m (table 7, left column applicable for steel and stainless steel)

    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards.

    1. Just received the modified version of the QTR from Howmet, St-Cosme.
The QTR for this qualification is now No8804C, which has been added as a replacement for No8804B in the ASD-Cert qualification report # 831.
The changes in this QTR are indicated by a “C” in the margin.

The three TC comments have been corrected.
      * Dimension “V” has been added on page 21 sur 45
      * Bolt 1100MPa strength has been corrected on page 26 sur 45
      * The value of the torque-out test has been corrected on page 28 sur 45
