  1. Conditions to approve MCR on EN2907-050 nuts Under EN3004 technical specification:
    – Manufacturing route shows that several operations are outsourced in addition to PROTEC. Please provide ASD-CERT with a statement that those sources are approved.
    – FAI with dimensional records is missing as well as the different thicknesses of the silver plating by PROTEC. Please provide ASD-CERT with this information.
    – 5 cycles after heating to 650°C for reusability tests are not presented in the report. Please provide a statement that silver plating with PROTEC should have been successful for those tests.

    1. Please find below my answers regarding the remarks of M. CANTEAU

      – Yes manufacturing routers show several operations subcontracted because our surface treatment was totally broken by the fire . With regards to lubrication removal or deoxidation operations , these are non-significative operation or non-key operations with no impact on the finished product’s performances.
      – The dimensional FAI is not forgotten, we agreed during our different calls on a “Delta “ FAI to check the impact of the change on the performances of the product. In the proposal agreed , the FAI had to include the inspection of the surface coating ( aspect , adhesion ,and thickness on plating process) and the measurement of the locking torques at room temperature with a sampling based on the criteria acceptance of the technical specification. This proposal was also agreed by Phil EDWARDS.
When we will perform the other tests requested in the technical specification for acceptance, if the dimensions of the parts will be checked. If they are non-conform , the batch will be rejected , if the dimensions are OK , the batch will be delivered. This process will be applied for all the other inspections acceptance tests required in the technical specification of the product . At the end of the process , if all the performances are conform a CoC will be issued and supply with the parts.
      – 5 Cycles after heating to 650°C for reusability tests are not presented : see explanation above.
      – Please find attached the COC of PROTEC

Approved after answer provided by Arconic (mail from Geneviève Lacombe dated 29 November 2019)
