    This bolt is too small in diameter to be tensile tested as per ISO9152, clause 5.4.1, sub-clause e).
    However, in that case, tensile test shall be carried out on test specimen according to ISO6892.
    Could you please provide these results?

    Just for information, double shear test is deleted by EN2549, clause 6.

    EN2870H060003F:
    This bolt is too short to be tensile tested as per ISO9152, clause 5.4.1, sub-clause a).
    However, in that case, tensile test shall be carried out on test specimens according to ISO6892.
    Could you please provide these results?

    Tensile test was carried out on test specimen.
    This shouldered bolt is long enough to carry out tensile test directly on bolts. Why tensile test was not performed on bolts?

    Tensile test was carried out on test specimen.
    This shouldered bolt is long enough to carry out tensile test directly on bolts. Why tensile test was not performed on bolts?

    EN3820D080052F (mfg batch 470312):
    In Test Report, no fatigue test was carried out on bolts.
    The hole is located in threaded area, not the smooth shank.
    Maybe there are different interpretations since, from my point of view, tension fatigue test is not applicable when bolts have drilled shanks (in the axis) / axial bores (lightened bolts).
    What is LISI’s interpretation?

    EN4074-050012F (lot number 468470):
    No double test on bolts were carried out.
    However, EN4074 does not remove this test.
    Could you please clarify?

    EN4130-080028 (lot number 466333):
    On test report, tensile test results on bolts are missing.

    EN4133-050020 (lot number 466586):
    This bolt reference is too short to be tensile tested.
    However, in that case, we should have tensile test on test specimen to check tensile properties (ISO9152, clause 5.4.1, ISO6892 test method on specimen).
    In test report, we have neither tensile test results on bolts, nor tensile test results on test specimen.
    Could you please clarify?

    Please find below the explanations and additional information in order to manage the opened conditions for the renewal of PQ236 from LISI VDR.

    -EN2549-030014F: This bolt is too small in diameter to be tensile tested as per ISO9152, clause 5.4.1, sub-clause e). However, in that case, tensile test shall be carried out on test specimen according to ISO6892. Could you please provide these results?
    • As the specification ISO9152 does not require tensile testing for dash 3, LISI VDR interpreted that the specimen tensile test was not required for this diameter.

    • LISI explains that ISO9152 specification does not clearly state that the tests on specimens must be carried out in acceptance. The ISO7689 specification is clearer and it specifies that the tests on specimens are only to be done in qualification. Consequently, the tests on specimens were not carried out in the past.
    However, since few years, a recovery has been carried out by LISI VDR to perform these tests on specimens according to the ISO9152 specification.
