  1. Conditions to renew qualification (ACP-006) of EN3912-050 bolts under EN3685 technical specification:
    • Grain size examination is required for acceptance “A” of the manufactured batch and for FAI (see paragraphes of EN3685). Please provide ASD-CERT with photos of micrographic cuts of this bolt.
    • Dimensional report showing values is required for a renewal (ACP-006) report; please provide ASD-CERT with this dimensional report for this bolt.
    • photos of the marking, labelling and packing is required. Please provide ASD-CERT with these.
    • A statement from the manufacturer indicating that all its equipment has been maintained under good calibration should be provided to ASD-CERT.
    • There is an error for the value of tensile strength load at ambient temperature in the QTR. It should read 16,83 kN as per EN3685 tech spec instead of 16 830 DaN. Please correct.
    • Confirmation of no change in the material source since the previous qualification as per ACP-006 procedure of ASD-CERT Quality manual. Otherwise, an ACP-008 request has to be sent to ASD-CERT.
    • The manufacturing route shows two alternative sub-contractors (DICKSON or WESTMORELAND) for laboratory tests even though the filled and signed ACP-006 form in additional documents states “no” for change of manufacturing process. Which was the previously qualified sub-contractor under PQ266? If there is a change, an ACP-008 request shall be sent to ASD-CERT. The manufacturing route shall be updated with the previously qualified sub-contractor under PQ266.
    • Please also provide ASD-CERT with the corresponding EN9100 and ISO17025 valid certificates for both laboratory test sub-contractors otherwise update the manufacturing route accordingly. An ACP-008 to cover the second sub-contractor will be sent later to ASD-CERT to cover the second sub-contractor.

      reply :
Micrography is performed on all batches manufactured. However, in the Lisi manufacturing process photos of micrographic mounts are only asked on qualifying lots ( specific router for initial qualification) . On ordinary production lots that are used for renewals, only the result of micrography is noted on the certificate of conformity for each batch. ( no specific router). This fact has been already accepted for previous renewal audit.

Dimensional report showing values is required for a renewal (ACP-006) report; please provide ASD-CERT with this dimensional report for this bolt.

      reply :
See dimension report added in the QTR box

      • photos of the marking, labelling and packing is required. Please provide ASD-CERT with these.

      reply :
As for the micrographic inspection, the marking of the parts is checked during the dimensional and visual inspection but the photos are only made for the qualification batches. Verification of the marking is specified on the certificate of conformity.

      • A statement from the manufacturer indicating that all its equipment has been maintained under good calibration should be provided to ASD-CERT.

      reply:
LISI ensures that all equipment used during manufacturing and dimensional inspection are calibrated. ( also for AUDIT 991 )

      QTR modified

      reply :
LISI confirms that the approved material sources have not changed since the previous qualification as per ACP-006 procedure of ASD-CERT Quality manual.

All mechanical tests have been carried out by LISI. LISI mentions alternative qualified laboratories allowance to prevent any logistic concern in case of machine breakdown or bottlenecks.

      Reply :
NADCAP and ISO 17025 certificates have been added in ” supplementary document uploas ” box ( the system doesn’t allow me to add it in the Nadacap box,.. )

  2. Thanks Daniel for your replies which are accepted except hereunder where I need a clarification on the Following:

The manufacturing route shows two alternative sub-contractors (DICKSON or WESTMORELAND) for laboratory tests even though the filled and signed ACP-006 form in additional documents states “no” for change of manufacturing process. Which was the previously qualified sub-contractor under PQ262? If there is a change, an ACP-008 request shall be sent to ASD-CERT. The manufacturing route shall be updated with the previously qualified sub-contractor under PQ262.

    Reply:
To prevent logistic concern, LISI should sent to ASD-CERT enough in advance an ACP-008 to request the use of DICKSON or WESTMORELAND as alternative subcontractors to manufacture parts. The manufacturing route shall only show the qualified laboratory for mechanical tests (this is currently LISI itself). Please update the manufacturing route to show only LISI as qualified laboratory for mechanical tests to manufacture current parts.
