QTP: ISO8788:2000 is mentioned whereas the latest issue is ISO8788:2020. Could you please clarify?
This anchor nut, fixed, is manufactured by cold stamping. If I am not wrong, this nut is made of a single piece. No brazing or clinching operations to assemble two or several pieces. If it is the case, as per ISO5858, table 1, clause 5.6.4, note k), torque-out test seems to be not applicable for this type of nut.
However, this test has been carried out, which is a good point. This remark is not blocking obviously, just something to point out. What are your thoughts?
Many thanks in advance
Best regards
Julien
Dear Julien,
Yes this anchor nut, fixed, is manufactured by cold stamping, made of a single piece. So, according to ISO5858, table 1, clause 5.6.4, note k), torque-out test seems is not applicable for this type of nut, but it has been done during qualification and tested again with success during qualification audit.
BR,
Have a nice day,
Sebastien

==> Please see the QTP updated . It was a mistake because ISO8788 was updated in may 2020.
