  1. Hardness test: in test report, hardness test requirements are in HV5 units and results are not written in “Dureté / Hardness” box.
Hopefully, results are available in “Micro / Macro” box.
10 values are reported in HRC units, which is in line with EN3004 requirements for units.
However, as per EN3005, clause 5.4.9, hardness sample size shall be against table 6, column A for Acceptance.
Manufacturing batch size is 4313 parts. Therefore, we should have 20 values.
Why do we have only 10 values?
Another point: is hardness test carried out by using HV5 or HRC method? (maybe HRC is not appropriate due to nut size).

Raw material: Brown Europe material CoC is compliant to SAM0044.
What is the link between SAM0044 and EN2399/EN3639?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards.

    1. Hardness control results are in the micro/macro box
The standard EN3004 French version of 1996 requires for the hardness to apply column B of the destructive tests.
      (as in iso5858 standard)
While the DIN EN3004 English and German version requires applying column A of non-destructive testing.
The hardness control is carried out on micro cuts in the area of the flanks and the support face, so we are on a destructive test.
The ISO8642 standard requires that the nuts subjected to this test must not be reused, so we can use the HRC method.
The attached SAM44 refers to the EN2399/EN3639 standards.
      At your disposal

  2. Hello Marc.
Fully agree with all your answers which are in line with our phone call last week.
EN3004 should be revised to fix this inconsistency (already discussed at ASD-CERT level, but no ressource available to do this).
    Thus, approved from my side.
    Best regards.
    Julien
