ASD-CERT is an association founded by and affiliated with ASD in 1990 with the purpose to qualify standard aerospace products in accordance with the requirements of EN 9133 ''Quality Management Systems - Qualification Procedure for Aerospace Standard Part'' (formerly EN 3042).
In order to achieve this purpose ASD-CERT qualifies the standard aerospace products and approves the quality system of their manufacturers so as to establish conformity with the applicable standards, particularly but not limited to EN standards and surveys that the requirements underlying the qualification are observed.
The Association is a ''Third party'' non-profit organization and has no commercial interest.
ASD-CERT publishes the lists of qualified aerospace products and their ''approved'' manufacturers:
- TR 3040-1:
ASD Technical Report - Aerospace series - Quality Assurance EN aerospace products - Part 1: List of EN 9100 (formerly EN 2000) approved manufacturers.
This TR is no more available as it was withdrawn on 31/01/2008. ASD-CERT does not issue QA Quality Approval letters anymore nor renews existing ones. Updated EN 9100 certified manufacturers list can be found in the IAQG OASIS data base. http://www.iaqg.org. ASD-CERT continues to perform EN 9133 production qualification audits and to issue appropriate certificates as well as to audit and renew existing production qualification certificates.
